APW - Waltham, Dennison, Howard & Davis, 15J, 18S, heavy 18K gold "E.H" (Edward Humbert) HC with attractive engraving and engine turning detail, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, KWKS, diamond endstone, gilt mvt, s#3482. Gross weight of assembled watch 86.1 dwt (133.9 g). A historically important watch, the "Dennison, Howard & Davis" grade was produced by Waltham's predecessor the Boston Watch Co. between approximately 1854 and 1857.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered mild fine scratches and small spots, main plate with somewhat better gilt tone than balance cock and barrel bridge; dial with some faint hls, edge chipping under bezel at 1; excellent hands; case shows light wear, few mild nicks to rear, reduced engraving and engine turning detail with full engine turning loss at shoulders; tight bow, push shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
